Let’s Talk About Welfare
The welfare of all children in Adams Gymnastics is a primary concern. If you have any welfare concerns please liaise with one of our Welfare Officers via email : welfare@adamsgymnastics.com
Our Mission
To provide a fun and friendly environment that positively impacts the lives of children and teenagers through the sport of gymnastics, whilst equipping them with the tools to be successful not only in sport in but in many aspects of life.
A responsibility of everyone involved within Adams Gymnastis to ensure that we provide a safe and supportive environment for everyone especially the gymnasts.
'It's our game, not yours'
This video shows several children involved in different sports describing how the behaviour of parents and spectators deteriorates when they wear their ‘magic sports kit’ – that is, when they compete.
The young people talk about a range of bad adult behaviours and how these negatively affect them. They then describe and promote positive behaviour.
Child Protection
We take the safety and welfare of its members, coaches, volunteers and parents very seriously. We do this by:
- Abiding by British Gymnastics Club health , Safety and Welfare guidelines
- Appointing a Welfare officer to whom, complaints, welfare concerns can be made confidentially and are dealt with promptly
- Ensuring that participants and/or parents are aware of the purpose of videoing, filming or photography during training or events
- Having a Zero tolerance level for poor practice, bullying or any form of abuse.
